I really enjoy the 15th-18th century because that’s when transoceanic travel happened and people began to move all over the world on a regular basis. That means that animals were moved around a lot too and it is very interesting to see how it affected their DNA and their genetic diversity.

I’m afraid I don’t study history so would not be able to answer your question very well!

Although if I was to study history, I would want to study the 1960’s space era (when we first sent humans to space). So much happened within the span of a few years, at NASA and in Russia, there are still bits of it that the general public doesn’t know.
For example, the movie + book Hidden Figures only just told us about all the amazing, smart African-American women who performed important calculations at NASA in the 60’s, whilst simultaneously breaking stereotypes and barriers that were put in their place.
If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it 🙂
