• Question: why do you research how bacteria swims in biological fluids

      Hi!
      Thanks for your question. I do research on this because I think it is fascinating to understand how tiny bacteria (good and bad ones) can move through our body which contains a lot of fluids (for example blood). They developed different strategies to swim, either via breast stroke or by rotating appendages at the back of their body which I find is very interesting. Understanding this can help us to find strategies one day to stop some bad bacteria to harm us.
