I think it was as part of my PhD, when I found evidence for a tiny network in the brain that separates colour, shape and motion information from each other. No one had published anything like it before so it could well be the first time anyone had every seen it in living humans. It was so exciting and I got to go any present the findings at a massive conference in Hawaii. Scientists from all over the world came and talked to me about what i’d found out!
